The trailer of Disney’s Mulan live-action movie has dropped, and it has given us some girl boss vibes.
After the tremendous success of remakes like Beauty and the Beast, Jungle Book, Aladdin and Alice in Wonderland, our favorite Chinese warrior is getting her own reboot.

The live-action movie stars Liu Yifei, Jet Li, and Donnie Yen amongst many other actors.
The remake of the 1998 animated movie will also follow the journey of the title character, who tries to bring honor to her family and defeating the Huns.
But further promises the introduction of several new characters to the motion picture and not sticking to the exact same plot.
Many noticed from the teaser that Mushu the beloved sidekick wasn’t present and weren’t thrilled about that.
Additionally, Disney stated the movie wouldn’t feature the classic songs, but will present instrumental versions of them instead to everyone’s disappointment.
However, others decided not to focus on the negatives and enjoy the nuance of the remake.
The original Mulan is totally on board for the remake.
Now for the casting choices, let’s get to know every star that will be in the film and which character they will be playing:
Obviously, Liu Yifei will portray the titular character after being chosen over more than 1,000 actresses that auditioned for the role across five continents.
Jet Li will play the emperor of China in this movie; he joined the cast after initially declining the role because his daughter told him he should be in a movie supporting Chinese culture.
Gong Li, who is best known for her roles in Memoirs of a Geisha and Miami vice, will play a villainous witch in this remake.
The main villain in Mulan 1998 was the leader of the Huns Shan Yu.
Donnie Yen, who is a skilled martial artist, will fulfill the role of Mulan’s mentor.
Disney also added a new character to the cast, Mulan’s sister who will be performed by actress Xana Tang.
Mulan’s love interest will be acted by actor Yoson An, but unlike the movie, he plays an ambitious recruit who joins the same unit.
Veteran actor Tzi Ma will depict the role of Mulan’s father, whom she takes his place in the war.
Jason Scott Lee, who is best known for his roles in the sequel of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and Tale of the Mummy, will play another villain.
