Canadian-Egyptian Hollywood superstar Mena Massoud is all set to make his debut attendance in the third edition of El Gouna Film Festival.
Massoud rose to fame after starring in the live-action remake of the animated movie Aladdin alongside everyone’s favorite actor/singer Will Smith.
The event will take place between September 19 and 27 this year, with many Egyptian and international stars attending as well.
Mena Massoud, who was born to Egyptian parents and raised in Canada, never stops gushing about his pride in his Egyptian roots and his love for Egyptian movies, actors and performers.
His affection was evident when he was promoting Aladdin alongside his co-star Naomi Scott; he expressed his love for artists like Amr Diab, Mostafa Amr, and Adel Emam instead of MC Hammer and foreign artists.
Massoud isn’t the first Hollywood star to take part in the events of GFF, stars like Patrick Dempsey, Owen Wilson, and Hilary Swank were present in previous editions.
El Gouna Film Festival always highlights significant movies in the region as well as providing aspiring filmmakers with guidance through various workshops.
Though Massoud is known for his breakout role in Aladdin playing the title character, he appeared in many prominent TV shows and movies like Jack Ryan, Nikita and Saving Hope.
