The 90s were a prominent time for American TV dramas and comedies. For instance, Friends TV show debuted on September 22, 1994.
It became incredibly popular that it ran for ten years with its ratings never dropping and have a loyal following till this day.
But right around that time many excellent TV shows that were equally great as friends were also airing or launching. Still, friends fame overshadowed those shows that I bet some of them completely fell between the cracks.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane to remember some of those TV series:
Will & Grace
A groundbreaking sitcom about Will and his best friend of 15 years Grace and how they managed to stay friends for so long.
Will a successful gay lawyer who deals with life after coming out and Grace a flourishing interior designer.
It aired from 1998 to 2005 for eight seasons, and then got a revival in 2017.
This successful series was actually about four antisocial single friends who went around doing nothing and having hilarious adventures.
Yet it kept showing for a whole nine years, as it aired from 1989 to 1997.
Mad About You
Helen Hunt & Paul Reiser star in this Rom-com about the stories of the married couple Jamie and Paul.
How they grow together while managing to stay in love in their daily hectic life, the show lasted from 1992 to 1999.
The Tanner family kept us entertained for 193 episodes, as we lived with them through their highs and lows.
It introduced the cute Olsen twins who inspired lots of memes nowadays on social media.
The show aired from 1987 to 1995, and then got revived in 2019 as Fuller house.
The long-running animated comedy remains a phenomenon, with more than 600 episodes as the show been on air from 1989 till date.
Unusual adventures of Homer-Marge-Bart and Lisa Simpson are still entertaining enough keeping the ratings intact.
Sabrina the Teenage Witch
Kids today might recognize Sabrina from (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.)
But 90s kids surely know the original Sabrina from the show that debuted in 1996 and lasted till 2003.
The show revolved around Sabrina Spellman, who comes from a long line of witches, dealing with her powers and trying to keep a normal life as well.
A witty and cultured therapist with his own successful radio talk show moves back to his home town Seattle.
For 11 years we get to witness the escapades of his life with his down to earth dad, his pretentious brother, and his friends and co-workers.
We got to laugh and grow with them for years, as the show aired from 1993 to 2004.
Ted Danson is a brilliant actor; he recently proved his talents as Michael, the architect in Netflix’s hit show (The Good Place.)
But way before that, he played the obnoxious yet lovable Dr. John Becker for 6 seasons.
If you haven’t watched any of these gems, you’re in for a treat. As we’re definitely starting a binge to rewatch our favorite shows that bring back lots of wonderful memories.
Don’t forget to tell us your favorite shows from the 90s, and don’t forget to share this with your friends.
